Welcome to Life in Christ Christian School!
Life in Christ Christian School (LICCS) is a private, nonprofit Christian school serving students and families in Owosso and throughout the surrounding Mid-Michigan communities. At LICCS, we believe education should do more than prepare students academically—it should equip them to know Christ, grow in wisdom, develop strong character, and confidently live out their faith.
Our dedicated teachers provide a supportive, engaging, and academically challenging learning environment where students are known, encouraged, and challenged to reach their God-given potential.
Every subject is taught through a biblical worldview, helping students understand that faith is not separate from learning, but the foundation through which we view God, His creation, and our purpose within it.
At LICCS, we are committed to educating the whole child—mind, heart, and character. We partner with families to cultivate students who are faithful, teachable, and honoring, while developing the knowledge, confidence, and biblical foundation they need for the future God has prepared for them.
Our mission extends far beyond the classroom. We desire to raise up a generation of young people who know what they believe, understand why they believe it, and are prepared to stand firmly in their faith while serving others with wisdom, integrity, courage, and grace.
We Teach the Bible
At Life in Christ Christian School, our purpose is clear: to glorify God by preparing and equipping young people to know Christ, live out their faith, and serve Him faithfully in their homes, churches, communities, and beyond. The spiritual formation of our students is not simply one part of what we do—it is at the heart of who we are.
Students are grounded in biblical truth through dedicated Bible instruction and weekly chapel services, but spiritual development extends far beyond Bible class. God’s Word is the foundation of the entire educational experience at LICCS. Biblical truth is intentionally integrated throughout every academic discipline, teaching students to view learning, relationships, culture, decisions, and the world around them through the lens of Scripture.
Our teachers and staff understand that Christian education is both taught and lived. They are committed to academic excellence while intentionally pointing students to Christ through their instruction, relationships, words, actions, and daily example. Students are encouraged to ask questions, grow in wisdom, develop discernment, and deepen their personal understanding of God’s Word.
Ultimately, our desire is to prepare students for more than academic success. We want to develop young men and women who know what they believe, understand why they believe it, and have the courage to live it out. Our prayer is that every LICCS student leaves equipped with a strong biblical foundation, Christ-centered character, and a heart prepared to serve God wherever He calls them

Once an application has been reviewed, LICCS administration will contact the family to schedule an admissions interview with both the parent(s)/guardian(s) and prospective student.
During this interview, we will review the LICCS Student Handbook, discuss the student’s educational and disciplinary history, answer questions, and talk openly about whether Life in Christ Christian School is the right fit for the student and family.
We ask families to be honest and transparent throughout the admissions process, particularly regarding previous behavioral or disciplinary concerns. Complete and accurate information allows our administration to make thoughtful decisions that consider the individual needs of the prospective student as well as the safety, well-being, and learning environment of our entire school community.
Please note: Students who have previously been expelled from a public, private, or Christian school are not eligible for admission to Life in Christ Christian School.
As part of this process, LICCS reserves the right to contact previous schools, churches, pastors, youth leaders, or other appropriate references to obtain information relevant to the student’s application and determine whether LICCS can appropriately meet the student’s educational and developmental needs.
Completion of an application and interview does not guarantee admission. Final enrollment decisions are made by LICCS administration after careful review of all available information.
